Uzodimma instrumental to LGs’ autonomy – Arodiogbu
South East APC National Vice Chairman, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, says His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodimma, played a vital role to the passing and assenting of Local Government Autonomy Bill in the country.
Arodiogbu disclosed this when he addressed members of the party during the grand finale of campaign held at Admiral Ndubuisi Kalu Square Owerri on Thursday.
According to the APC National Officer, “the grand finale of APC campaign for LG Elections slated for Saturday, September 21st 2024, is very significant as the nation has just passed the Bill for LG Autonomy and the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, was very instrumental to the success of that Bill, knowing very much that the local government is very important to actual development at the grassroot levels.
“So, we congratulate you all, our candidates, for being successful in the Primary Elections Selection Process. We plead with you to work very hard and cordially to enable you develop your Wards and LGAs, we urge you not to disappoint the APC, Imo people and yourselves.
“Because we are sure that on Saturday, APC will win all the 305 INEC Wards and the 27 LGAs because our people love us and that is the magic”, Arodiogbu affirmed.
While calling on the candidates of the opposition political parties to go about the game peacefully and democratically as the ISIEC Guidelines stipulate, the Arondizuogu Ideato North born visionary leader and pragmatic politician called on Imo people to vote for APC to enable them fully enjoy democratic gains at the rural areas.
