Royal College of Health Technology Matriculates 86 Students

Royal College of Health Technology (ROCHTEC), Umuahii, Obi Mbieri, Mbaitolu Local Government Area, Imo State, has held its 5th matriculation ceremony with 86 students being admitted into various departments.

The new students who were happily adorned in their matriculation robes, took oath of allegiance to abide by the rules and regulations of the college while studying hard to graduate in learning and character and become more useful to themselves, relatives and the society.

Admonishing the new students to uphold moral values, study effectively to gain quality academics that could enable them major well in addressing health needs of the people, the Provost of ROCHTEC, Hon. Iheanyichukwu Isikaku, told them to continue to accord due honour to their parents, wards, (sponsors) who he said go through hurdles to sponsor them.

Isikaku, who said the college fulfills yearly activity of matriculating new brilliant students, noted that the college was established few years ago by HRH, Eze (Elder) Dr. Josiah Nzeremibe Osuji, Eze Ukwu 1 of Obi-Mbieri, who he described as a humanitarian, organizer, community leader, who is visionary, loving and development oriented.

The Provost informed that the college has academically vibrant lecturers who are assessed periodically as the institution believes in quality education. “We employ those who have good qualifications. This is why the college soars in terns of quality education. There are 3 departments in ROCHTEC: Community Health, Public Health among other”.

Thanking God for the success of the college, the Registrar, Dr. Mrs. Okorie Gertrude, advised the students to be focused, study hard by being conscious that they are health workers, positing that in the next 10 years, the world will know more about ROCHTEC which she remarked is good in public health and technological education.

Assessing the 5th matriculation ceremony as the best in the college given to the great inflow of students, Head of Community Health Department, Dr. Mrs. Wokoma Victoria, vowed that she would continue to do her best to add to the progress, growth and success of ROCHTEC to affect community clinically
