Old boys Reunion: Williams Advises Young Ones To imbibe Discipline

The Government Secondary School, Owerri Old Boys Association, has been commended for their giant strikes, which has contributed immensely in the academic and infrastructural development of the school.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen during the 2024 annual Reunion/Homecoming of the Association held at the school Hall, along Okigwe Road, Owerri recently.
According to him, the Association has been assisting the Imo state government in running and improving the quality of the school .
Chief Williams, who is a member of the 1976 set of the Association, revealed that the Old Boys built, equipped and donated several buildings such as school halls, laboratories, etc and renovated classrooms, adding that the institution is a model school, which the Old Boys hold in great esteem.
The former National Assembly Candidate
disclosed that the school has produced great men and professionals in all walks of life including Engineers, Medical doctors, Surveyors, and Architects among others, pointing out that then in the school, discipline was their watchword.
He expressed delight that the school still has its value and is outstanding in sports, academics, quizzes and debating competitions while according to him, the association has international branches in UK and Canada among others.
CDB, as he is popularly called, enjoined the young ones especially the current students to imbibe discipline, patriotism and hard work as well as take their studies seriously in order to excel in their academics and impact positively on society.
