New ISWAMA Team Shuts Down Market, Enforces Sanitation Exercise
…As traders clean-up environs

The newly-constituted Imo State Waste Management Agency (ISWAMA), yesterday, Saturday, February, 3rd, 2024, shut down the ever- busy Douglas road, Owerri for a sanitation exercise that involved traders and other Owerri residents.
Recall, that Governor Hope Uzodimma, on Friday, January 26, approved the appointment of new management team for the Imo State Waste Management Agency (ISWAMA), headed by Mr. Cyril Njoku as the Managing Director, Agbi Isimeme, Deputy Managing Director and Ugochukwu Aghazie as the Director of Operations.
Speaking, while inspecting the exercise, the newly-appointed Managing Director, ISWAMA, Mr. Cyril Njoku, said essence of the exercise was to ensure that Emmanuel College-Douglas road is recovered from dirtiness.
“His Excellency, Distinguished Sen. Hope Uzodimma is a Governor that wants the best for the State. He wants our environment to be clean and as you know, cleanliness is next to godliness. Everyone should support his vision and ensure our environment is made clean”, he said.
