Crisis: Govt Restores Peace in Imo Community

Through the Special Adviser to the Governor on Peace and Conflict Resolution, Engr. Peter Ohagwa, Imo State Government has brokered Peace at Umuerim Village in Umudibia Community in Owerri West Local Government Area over leadership tussle that had been in court for years putting a hold to the development of the village.
The Aide, accompanied by members of Imo Peace Advocate corps, Thursday, conducted a peaceful election of the village union after resolving the crisis that witnessed a three months mediation period at his office.
In his acceptance speech the newly elected Chairman Ajoku Anselm promised to ensure that peace reigns supreme in the community.
Members of the Community were also agog and bd full of appreciation to the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma for coming to their rescue
