Emeka Ihedioha, the immediate past Governor of Imo state has officially left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo state.

He resignation was made known on Tuesday through a short letter he minuted to the his Mbutu PDP ward Chairman in Aboh-Mbaise LGA of Imo state.

It would be recalled that the former deputy Speaker of House of Representatives, was elected Governor in 2019 under the PDP and served for seven after which his tenure was truncated by the Supreme Court who replaced by Senator Hope Uzodinma.

He had been rumoured to be romancing with the leaders of the Labour Party in the state suggesting that he may be officially declaring his membership with the party.

His resignation from the PDP has raised dist and uncertainties especially when his body language showed that he is preparing to recontest for the governorship seat come 2027.”
