PAY Is Empowering Youths with Scholarships Ekejiuba – Ekejiuba

The president of Progressive Abia Youths, (PAY), Mr Kingsley Ekejiuba, has lauded the achievement of the group, noting that with dedication, hard work, commitment so many youths from the state, have been taken away from the streets through scholarship, employment and empowerment.

The Youths President stated this at Michael Okpara Auditorium on Thursday during the 3rd extraordinary Convention with the theme “The Youth, the present and Future of Democracy”. While addressing the audience said together they have mobilized, empowered, and uplifted countless lives, reiterating that it’s not just the numbers, but the purpose and impact reemphasized and redefined.

Explaining further disclosed that it is beyond the historic interventions that saw more than then 84,000, voters registered, 200,000 PVCs distributed, 2 million voters mobilized, 500 students empowered with scholarships and 200 youths finding contractual employment. He also revealed that through their partners with APHF, NPAG, OFIAR,

PRAWA, Chima Anyaso Foundatio, Ngozi Foundation among others were able to reach out to those in need from offering microcredit support for budding entrepreneurs to free medical outreach, touching the lives of 70,000 citizens to the digital training that is shaping the leaders of today which has been a milestone going through the journey.

Addressing the students, Chinedu Okeke, the deputy chief of staff who represented the governor, commended the organisers for initiating the Youths program. He said, “Governor Alex Otti is happy over such program geared towards taking Abia Youths out of the streets and give them better life”.

He noted that the governor is passionate about the youths and for that reasons he has given a lot of appointments to the youths. He encouraged them to read their books and to remain focus in all that they do.
